How it Works: Mainstreet's website design phases

Phase I: Home Page Layout

Client Responsibilities: Provide your web site designer with your company
logo and/or color scheme.

Designer Responsibilities: Establish web site color scheme and provide
three (3) unique page layouts for client to select from.

Phase I will establish the overall look of your web site. You will be working
with your designer to develop three (3) site layouts including the location
of your site’s navigation bar, margins, and header. Once the layout options
are created, your designer will provide you with a link to the samples and
request that you select one. Once you have selected your web site layout,
your designer will be available to discuss general revisions and changes to
this basic page layout. After these changes have been agreed apon and
implemented, all other changes to your web site layout may be subject to
additional fees.

Phase I Goals:

1. Select a layout and color scheme for use on the interior pages of client’s
web site.

Phase II: Site Structure

Client Responsibilities: Begin submitting images to be used or notify your
designer that you would like us to provide pictures for use on your web pages.

Designer Responsibilities: Establish functioning web site “skeleton”;
including navigation menu and placement of text areas and images on all pages.

During Phase II, we begin to see your web site take shape. The page layout you
selected during Phase I will be used to create all of the interior pages of your
site. Your designer will also add functionality to the navigation menu and
begin placing images and text areas (not actual text content; only place holders)
onto your web pages.

Once the web site structure is complete, your designer will notify you via email
or phone that the structure is complete and ready for your review.Your designer
will also provide you with a link to view the new pages (In most cases, the link
provided in Phase I will serve as the link to the site “skeleton” as well as all other
changes and additions to the site during construction.) If you would like any
revisions to be made to this web site “skeleton”, they must be submitted within
seven (7) business days of your designer’s notification. If you require more time
to review your site “skeleton”, please notify your site designer 24 hours prior to
the review deadline.

Phase II Goals:

1. Create a functioning web site using the layout selected in Phase I including
navigation menu

2. Select and place available images on each page.

3. Establish text areas (not the actual text content) on all pages.

4. Finalize web site layout (all layout changes made after this point may be
subject to additional fees).

Phase III: Text Development

Client Responsibilities: Provide your designer with the text to be used on your
pages or complete our Web Services Company Profile to provide us the necessary
information to create the page text for you.

Designer Responsibilities: Create and place text on all web site pages

Now that we have created the pages of your site, we can start adding text content.
If you elect to submit your own text, you will have the opportunity to make one (1)
revision to the text provided. For clients who would like our Web Services team
to author the page text, you will be allowed two (2) revisions to the text content we
create (the correction of spelling and or grammar errors will not be considered a
“revision”). Changes to the text content beyond this point may be subject to
additional fees.

Phase III Goals:

1. Create page text and place into the appropriate text areas created during Phase II.

Phase IV: Final Review and Publication

Client Responsibilities: Authorize completion of Phases I – III

Designer Responsibilities: Ensure the client is satisfied with their web site layout and
navigation as well as the placement of images and text. Complete site construction
and apply appropriate level of Search Engine Optimization.

Now that your designer has a clear picture of your web site, he can begin optimizing
your site. During this last Phase your entire site will be available for your review. Be
sure to look through your pages very carefully as this will be the last and final review
before your site is published and becomes available on the internet. Any changes
made after the final check are subject to additional fees.

During Phase IV, we will accept three (3) revisions to the site as a whole. In the event
you do not contact your designer within seven (7) business days, we will assume
everything is to your liking and the site will be published. Any changes or revisions
submitted after seven (7) business days will be subject to additional fees. If you require
additional time to review your pages, please notify your designer 24 hours prior to the
deadline.

Phase IV Goals:

* Finalize all changes, revisions and additions to the web site.
* Apply the appropriate level of Search Engine Optimization.
* Publish the web site.
