Glas-Avenue Central for multiple locations brings all the data from each of your locations into one easy to use system. A numeric store assignment keeps each invoice and transaction tied to the correct store while comprehensive reporting allows you to track activity for any given store, compare stores or run for the entire company.
For maximum efficiency of this system Glas-Avenue Point of Sale, Inventory, EDI, Mailing List, Purchase Order, Reports Module and Scheduler are installed at each remote location. Headquarters will have each of these modules plus Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger. Each location performs the following functions: quoting, work orders, invoicing, purchase orders, and inventory control. On a scheduled basis each remote location will connect with headquarters and exchange data with the headquarters system. These transfers may be conducted several times throughout the day or at night to ensure the most current information available. Headquarters is then able to perform all appropriate accounting procedures for billing, payments, reporting and management.
The beauty of this system is seen through the ease of data transfer and the ability of the headquarters to manage a single database of information for the entire corporation. Numerous reports provided by the Glas-Avenue system can be viewed for the whole corporation, by individual location, or in groups (regions) of stores. Information can also be exported into other applications such as Microsoft Excel for further analysis. As the business grows and develops, more locations are easily added to the system.
Mainstreet's Glas-Avenue Central also provides the option of "REAL TIME" connectivity as an alternative to scheduled data transfers. Real time functionality is achieved through use of Windows Terminal Services™. By use of this system each of your remote locations will use an Internet connection to work off of a central server in your headquarters location. All data is then saved to the main terminal server as it is transacted. All accounting, reporting, and management functions are conducted by the headquarters as mentioned above, but without the need to connect with remote locations for data transfer. This application provides the best system for centralized control of your corporate data. Each location will be required to maintain a current data license and EDI account. Also, the use of a local network consultant will be required.
